Making our tiny house a home |

I am starting a new series to document my home decor and how we are slowly bringing our tiny home to life.

To give you some background, we are a family of 4 living in a 330 square foot converted outbuilding which was formerly used as a shed. It is so small but we are making it work as it’s in my parent’s property and as such it’s giving us a great opportunity to save for our own home.

Here are a few screen grabs from Instagram of what it started out like!

We don’t have a big budget for interiors. We live off one income and are saving hard so we are just doing it little by little and not rushing in to buying expensive stuff. When my husband and I first got married we had nothing and bought cheap crap / white furniture from Ikea and now we are gradually changing things and investing in longer lasting pieces. I love watching other people’s home renovations however I get frustrated at how quick they manage to do everything and ours will certainly be a slow burner! By the time we move out of the cottage I shouldn’t imagine we’ll be “finished”!

I hope you enjoy this series.
